About Asset Based Lending Risk Management
Dow Schofield Watts Asset Based Lending Risk Management was set up in January 2022 by Hazel Lomas and Martin Ellison, who each bring over 30 years’ experience in the ABL sector working with, and as trusted independent consultants to most of the leading lenders in the industry.
We offer Asset-Based Lenders, Professional Advisers, Private Equity Investors and their clients expert risk assessment and reliable independent advice on new and existing Receivables, Inventory, Plant & Machinery, and Trade finance facilities at all funding levels.
For Lenders, we undertake detailed pre and post lend due diligence across multiple asset classes to identify any risks to the funder relating to the recoverability of the collateral, and vulnerabilities in the systems and processes. We also add value by providing practical mitigating solutions and recommending appropriate restructuring measures to enable you to manage those risks effectively.
For Debt Advisory, Restructuring, and Corporate Finance advisers our reputation as trusted partners on Lenders’ panels means we know which lenders are likely to have an appetite for funding your clients’ business and industry sector. We can complete a single piece of independent Due Diligence for presentation to multiple lenders which streamlines the (re-)financing process, saving your client the time and cost of separate pieces of due diligence being undertaken by each potential lender.
We also provide the same services directly for Private Equity Investors looking to raise asset-based finance for their portfolio businesses. We understand the risk issues present across the widest variety of industry sectors, and our close relationships with most lenders enable us to offer a valuable insight into different funders’ credit appetites and their attitudes to particular risks.
We are much more than just an audit and survey company. As ABL risk management consultants, we are the safe pair of hands who can help you to identify, manage and minimise the risks across your multi-asset portfolios. Please get in touch to discuss what we can offer and how we can help you.
Our business continues to grow, and we are always on the lookout for excellent ABL professionals to join our team. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss the opportunity to work with us by emailing [email protected].
