Recruitment and health service provider Castlerock Recruitment Group (CRG) has acquired the Salford Quays-based forensic healthcare division of Medacs Healthcare.
Financial due diligence on behalf of CRG was conducted by Rob McCarthy of Dow Schofield Watts Transaction Services.
CRG said that the deal would complement its specialist sub-brand CRG Medical Services.
The company also reported that it intends to continue its acquisition drive in the next 12 months within the secure health sector.
Ian Munro, chief executive of CRG, said: “The forensic healthcare division of Medacs is a recognised provider of services to the forensic and HM Prison medical services sector. We believe that a combination of the core strengths of the two complementary businesses will enable us to provide an enhanced service offering and user experience to current and future clients.”
The acquisition has enabled CRG to open its first established headquarters in the Salford Quays area. All 25 CRG Medical Services business support centre staff have now moved into new 2,000 sq ft offices in Hamill at the Quays at Clippers Quay, making CRG the largest occupier in the building.
Munro added: “We’re confident that the acquisition will benefit clients in a number of ways.
“The increased scale of the combined businesses will result in a greater depth of clinical expertise being available, including more specialist doctors, nurses and paramedics. In addition, it will provide us and our clients with access to a broader network, with an extra 15 branches and local offices throughout England and Wales.”
