Dow Schofield Watts expands Yorkshire & North East Corporate Finance team
Dow Schofield Watts has expanded its Corporate Finance team in Yorkshire and the North East with the appointment of Harry Martin as an Associate.
Harry, who will be based at the firm’s Leeds office, joins from PwC, where he spent almost four years in the audit department and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He previously worked in retail, having started his career with Sainsbury’s and, after a 1st Class Honours degree in Business Studies at Leeds Beckett University, spent two years in management before joining PwC.
Harry commented: “I am excited to be entering the world of deal-making. The DSW Corporate Finance team based in Leeds was particularly attractive, with a strong track record and a high-quality regional client base. I am looking forward to working with entrepreneurs and business owners as part of an experienced team advising on a wide range of deals”.
Roger Esler, who co-leads the DSW Corporate Finance team in the region, added: “We see strengthening business confidence amongst business owners and a more optimistic outlook as interest rates peak. Together with the plentiful availability of debt and equity capital, active strategic buyers and a looming election, we expect M&A market activity to continue to increase going into 2024. We are delighted that we can attract talent such as Harry into the team and know that he will make a fantastic contribution to our business and clients.”
