Dow Schofield Watts has been ranked in the UK’s top 75 accountancy firms for the second year running – highlighting its growing profile within the industry.
The Accountancy Age Top 50+50 recognises the ‘movers and shakers’ of the accountancy world. Dow Schofield Watts is listed as number 72 in the 2019 tables, up from 73 the previous year when it entered the rankings for the first time.
Meanwhile the firm has once again been named as one of the top 20 most active deals advisers in Experian’s latest M&A Review. It shows that in 2019 to date Dow Schofield Watts came in 20th place in the UK, eighth in Yorkshire and second in the North West in terms of the number of deals advised on.
The latest rankings follow two years of rapid growth which have seen Dow Schofield Watts expand its network with offices in London and Aberdeen, and launch new initiatives including DSW Angels and the Pandea international M&A adviser network.
James Dow, founding partner, said: “These figures reflect our growing network and reputation in the profession. However while Dow Schofield Watts is now firmly established within the top 100 accountancy firms, we have a very different approach.
“Our model offers ‘everything but audit’ and allows entrepreneurial finance professionals to run their own business under the Dow Schofield Watts brand, giving them true autonomy, greater flexibility and a direct link between fees and reward. We believe it is very relevant in the current market and are confident that we will continue to reinforce our position as a leading dealmaker and business advisory firm.”
