Dow Schofield Watts rises to 48th position in Top 50 + 50

Dow Schofield Watts has continued its rise in the Accountancy Age Top 50+ 50 reaching 48th position in 2022. Celebrating excellence in accountancy practice, the rankings “spotlight the top accounting firms in the UK”.

The last two years have seen Dow Schofield Watts climb 11 places in the Top 50+ 50 whilst it was also recently named as one of the top 20 rising stars in the first Accountancy Age Mid-Tier Power Index.

Now in its 20th year, the firm now has over 90 professionals in seven locations, most of them with backgrounds in big 4 accounting firms.

The firm operates an innovative licensing model and has also seen success in the highly competitive corporate finance arena. It was acknowledged as the UK’s tenth most active corporate finance advisor for the first half of 2022 – up from the 13th position.

It will be a year on 16 December since DSW Capital plc, owner of the Dow Schofield Watts brand, raised £5m by placing on AIM.

James Dow, the founding partner, said: “We remain one of the fastest-growing accounting and advisory firms and the admission of DSW Capital plc to AIM is further enabling us to build our presence via new locations and service lines including the recent addition of DSW Wealth Planning.

“As a recognised challenger brand we represent a genuine alternative to traditional practices, with greater choice for clients and real autonomy and flexibility for professionals enabling them to fulfil their potential.”
