Dow Schofield Watts has scooped three awards at the 2016 Insider North West Dealmakers Awards.
The firm won the Mid-Market Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year, Transaction Services Team of the Year and also the Deal of the Year (£10m to £50m) for its role in the sale of the rubber compounder Berwin Group to the Swedish listed company Hexpol AB.
The judges said Dow Schofield Watts was ‘renowned for its professionalism, as well as being a pleasure to do business with’ and described the transaction services team as ‘a quality operation’. The winners were announced at the annual awards ceremony at Manchester Central last night.
Founder, James Dow, said: “It is an honour to have won no fewer than three awards against such tough competition. These accolades reflect the depth of expertise within the firm and the hard work we put into each transaction to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
“Team awards are very special as they reflect a collective and sustained effort over the full year. Retaining the Mid-Market Corporate Finance Advisory Award shows that the corporate finance team have been at the top of the game for some time now.”
He added: “The award for the Transaction Services team is a tremendous testament to a superb collective effort and, unless I am mistaken, it is the first time that the award has not been picked up by one of the Big Four. This represents a coming of age for the team and a platform for continued future success.”
