DSW expands London transaction services team
Dow Schofield Watts has expanded its London team with the appointment of Max Joseph as a Transaction Services Executive.
Max joins from Blick Rothenberg in London where he has spent the last four years as an Assistant Manager in audit and assurance and where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2021, having previously achieved a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Leeds.
At Dow Schofield Watts, he will be carrying out financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions and other corporate deals. According to figures from Experian, Dow Schofield Watts was the sixth most active deals adviser in the UK in the period from January 2022 to September 2022.
Max says he is looking forward to widening his knowledge in a broad range of sectors via Dow Schofield’s Watts extensive client base. “Dow Schofield Watts’ position as a fast-growing challenger brand and its strong reputation were key factors for me, as was the ability to move into transaction services. The role will enable me to strengthen my knowledge base, work with a range of businesses and open up new opportunities to progress my career.”
The London transaction services team was founded in 2018 by James Killing and Richard Hooper, who between them have over 40 years’ experience in top-tier accountancy firms.
James Killing said: “The past couple of years have been an extremely busy period for us, with no let-up in activity since the summer of 2020. In particular we have seen strong demand from both private equity houses and acquisitive corporates and for our vendor due diligence services helping businesses to prepare for a sale. Max is the latest in a series of new additions to our team which are helping us to meet the demand.”
