DSW leaps to 6th in UK corporate finance rankings and 9th in Scotland
Dow Schofield Watts was the UK’s sixth most active corporate finance advisor in the first nine months of the year – up from 13th position last year, according to the latest Experian Market IQ report.
The report also shows the firm leapt to 9th position in Scotland, up from 22 last year, and it has seen a strong showing across the English regions. Dow Schofield Watts achieved the coveted number one spot in the North West, up from number two last year, while it is now number 7 in Yorkshire & Humber (up from 12).
The firm ranked number 7 in East of England (up from 26) and 6 in the Midlands (up from 15), while the newly opened Reading office ranked number 7 in the South West from an unranked position in its first year.
The latest figures from Experian’s Market IQ report, which include deals involving a UK company, show the firm advised on 80 deals during the first nine months of 2022, up from 56 in the same period last year. This was despite a 14 per cent decline in deal activity and a 29 per cent reduction in value in the overall deals market.
“These rankings are a testament to the hard work, capability and credibility of our corporate finance teams,” says James Dow, Founding Partner. “At a time when the overall volume of deals in the market has fallen, Dow Schofield Watts has significantly increased activity and bucked the trend.”
