Dow Schofield Watts’ team in Yorkshire & the North East has received four nominations in the 2017 Rainmaker Awards, organised by TheBusinessDesk Yorkshire.
The firm has been shortlisted for both the Corporate Finance Team of the Year and Transaction Services Team of the Year, while Richard Townsend, who joined recently from Lloyds Banking Group, has been shortlisted as Rainmaker of the Year.
A deal on which DSW advised – the £14m acquisition of Colt by Wetherby-based waste management business Augean – was shortlisted as Small Cap Deal of the Year.
The shortlist has been drawn up by a panel of more than 20 judges. The results will be announced at the awards dinner at The Queens Hotel, Leeds, on June 22.
These latest accolades follow the Yorkshire team’s success six months ago in Insider‘s Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards, where Roger Esler was named Dealmaker of the Year, and the team scooped the Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year and the Deal of the Year (below £25m) award for the MBI of windows and decking fabricator Sash UK.
