Ellen established Dow Schofield Watts Business Planning in 2010 (formerly named JL Advisory) alongside Rebecca Judson and is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers.
Ellen started her career at Andersens in their audit department before joining the Infrastructure Advisory team in Ernst and Young (EY). She was at EY for ten years prior to setting up independently.
Ellen has strong skills in business plan preparation and particularly in financial modelling. She has recently developed several forecasting models for clients across sectors including retail, communications, IT software, entertainment and recruitment. She also has a strong background in business case drafting for public sector clients looking to approve investment, and on behalf of private sector clients looking to access public funds to enable development schemes.
Ellen’s current portfolio includes the following clients:
Eric Wright Group on the financial monitoring of their Public Private Partnership portfolio, including back reporting;
Wavenet in the development and ongoing support of their integrated P&L, cashflow and balance sheet model, as well as ad hoc financial support;
Provide ongoing support to States of Jersey, providing financial review of investment proposals; and
City of Westminster Council in relation to their capital programme modelling and reporting.
