Martin is a founding partner of the Dow Schofield Watts ABL Advisory team, and has over 30 years’ experience working with SME’s, Mid-Market and Corporate clients across a wide range of industries.
Following graduation from Durham University, he joined KPMG in London before moving to Horwath Clark Whitehill in Manchester, where he undertook audit and corporate finance assignments. He moved into Asset-Based Lending due diligence with HSBC in 1995, undertaking a variety of senior risk, client, and operations management roles with both banks and independent ABL funders.
Martin has spent over 15 years successfully delivering independent ABL consultancy services to funders, professional advisers, private equity investors and their clients across the UK. He combines personal commitment with excellent technical knowledge and commercial acumen, specialising in high-value lends, complex multi-product deal structures, high-risk and contractual lending scenarios.
When not working, he can often be found running, cycling, or somewhere up a mountain!
