Brandon Ransley appointed as Strategic Advisor to Midlands office
Former Dentons UK Managing Partner Brandon Ransley has been appointed Strategic Advisor to Dow Schofield Watts’ Corporate Finance team in the Midlands.
Brandon’s appointment marks a significant milestone in the team’s ambitious growth plans. Known for his ability to challenge conventional thinking and inspire forward-looking strategies, Brandon will play a key role in shaping the team’s future direction and ensuring continued success.
Brandon brings more than two decades of leadership and management experience, including formerly serving as UK Managing Partner at Dentons, the global law firm, and now works with a handful of regional businesses in a non-executive and advisory capacity.
With extensive expertise in growing professional practices and mergers and acquisitions, Brandon will provide invaluable strategic guidance to the Midlands Corporate Finance partners. Based in Northamptonshire, he will focus on supporting the team in driving further growth in the wider Midlands region and its key M&A sectors and on continuous operational improvement.
The Midlands Corporate Finance team has had an outstanding first year, completing seven transactions in the last 6 months, including the recent sales of Close UK to US-based New Mountain Capital-backed Cumming Group, Intrinsic Fire Protection to BGF-backed Triangle Fire Systems and Briggs & Forrester Building Services Maintenance to international acquirer BGIS.
Reflecting on his new role, Brandon said: “I’m excited to begin working with Harry, Ryan and Shaf at such an important stage in their journey. The team has already established a strong reputation for delivering exceptional results, and I look forward to contributing to their continued success. My focus will be on supporting the partners in shaping a bold vision and ensuring the team continues to deliver outstanding client service”.
Harry Walker, Partner at DSW, said, “Brandon’s extensive experience managing and growing professional services businesses will be a valuable asset as we continue to expand. We’ve been pleased with our progress in our first year of business, and Brandon’s strategic input will be crucial as we aim to build on this momentum and grow our presence in the market further”.
