Danish Renewtech acquires Harrogate-based Intelligent Servers

Renewtech, a Denmark-headquartered provider of sustainable IT hardware, has acquired Harrogate-based Intelligent Servers.

Dow Schofield Watts provided corporate finance advice to Intelligent Servers, led by Paul Herriott.

Intelligent Servers is expected to provide “the ideal platform for further development both organically and through bolt-on acquisitions”.

On the acquisition, Renewtech commented their position will now be stronger in the key European markets for future growth.

Bjarne Aarup, chief executive at Renewtech, said: “This acquisition is a natural next step in our growth journey. Intelligent Servers has built an outstanding reputation in the UK market, and together we can deliver even greater value to our customers. Our mutual dedication to quality, customer focus, and integrity makes this a perfect match.

“We are increasing the volume of our business by roughly 25 per cent, a strategic move that not only accelerates growth but also enhances our capacity to purchase and handle even larger takeouts from data centres, ITAD and larger corporate customers.”
