Alpine Fire acquires Kent-based specialist fire protection business

Alpine Group, the Bury-based provider of fire suppression and detection services, has acquired Channel Fire, specialists in the design, installation and maintenance of fire protection measures.

Founded in 2015, Channel Fire has built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke fire protection solutions in environments where standard approaches don’t always work, led by a small, highly specialist team.

The acquisition will support Alpine Group’s ongoing strategy to build out its Special Risk capability, focused on complex, high-risk and technically demanding environments.

Dow Schofield Watts provided corporate finance advice to Alpine Group on the deal. The team was led by partner Gregg Pendlington and associate director Alex Odlin.

Claire Owens, chief executive of Alpine Group, said: “Channel Fire is a specialist business with a strong reputation for accredited fire protection solutions in complex environment.

Their technical expertise, values and approach align closely with ours, and we are pleased to welcome Brett, Luke and the wider Channel Fire team into the group”.

Gregg Pendlington with Dow Schofield Watts added: “It was once again a pleasure to support Claire and the team at Alpine Fire with their second (highly strategic) acquisition under WestBridge ownership. On to the next one“.
