Bilfinger acquires nZero Group, allowing for an exit by NVM Private Equity

nZero Group, an advanced energy systems and gas technologies business, has been acquired by industrial services provider Bilfinger, providing an exit for NVM Private Equity.

Dow Schofield Watts provided vendor assistance due diligence services to NVM and nZero, with the team comprising Catriona Lang and Declan Littler.

The acquisition of nZero Group, including its two subsidiaries, Orbital Gas Systems Ltd. and Thyson Technology Ltd., allows Bilfinger to expand its footprint in the gas and hydrogen sectors in the UK.

Andy Leach, investment partner at NVM, said, “We are proud to have supported the nZero team as they have evolved into a highly respected partner in the energy transition space. Their contribution to the UK net-zero agenda, particularly through hydrogen and biogas projects, has been impressive and aligns with the type of impactful, sustainable growth NVM is keen to support.

The acquisition by Bilfinger will provide a strong platform for continued innovation and expansion, and we wish Matt and the team well in their future growth plans”.
