John is a founding partner in Dow Schofield Watts Business Recovery LLP.
He has over 30 years’ experience of working with owner-managed businesses and has specialised in business recovery and insolvency since 2004.
After graduating from the University of Sheffield and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, John worked in general practice as a client manager, advising clients in a wide range of sectors, before focussing on business recovery work.
He has extensive experience, gained at Unity Business Services, RSM Tenon, Baker Tilly and Dow Schofield Watts, of managing insolvency processes, has successfully concluded sales of insolvent businesses in a wide range of industries and has a strong focus on outcomes for stakeholders.
John won the Insolvency Practitioners Association prize for first place in the 2007 sitting of the Joint Insolvency Examinations.
