John is a partner in Dow Schofield Watts Business Recovery LLP.
He has 20 years’ experience of working with owner-managed businesses, and has specialised in business recovery and insolvency for the last 10 years.
After graduating from the University of Sheffield and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, John worked in general practice as a client manager, advising clients in a wide range of sectors, before moving into business recovery work.
He has extensive experience, gained at Unity Business Services, RSM Tenon and Baker Tilly, of managing insolvency processes from pre-appointment advisory work through to their conclusion, and has overseen sales of insolvent businesses in a wide range of industries.
John won the Insolvency Practitioners Association prize for first place in the 2007 sitting of the Joint Insolvency Examinations.
