Steve co-founded Dow Schofield Watts Thames Valley in September 2021 with fellow Partner, Carla Holmes. Steve is a qualified Chartered Accountant, also obtaining the ICAEW’s Corporate Finance designation in 2010 and brings a wealth of advisory experience gained with Haines Watts, EY, Grant Thornton and, most recently with BDO. Steve was a winner of the Thames Valley Deal Awards Due Diligence provider of the Year award in 2020.
Steve specialises in PE backed and corporate buy-and-build deals in the £1m to £10m (but up to £25m) EV space providing a collaborative service that is often seen as an extension of his clients’ own in-house deal team. He builds detailed knowledge of his client’s investment case and applies detailed industry knowledge to his discovery process, identifying key drivers and KPIs and anticipating their bespoke needs and producing independent, robust and credible reports.
