Sustainable Energy First acquires Inenco Group

Dow Schofield Watts Transaction Services in the North West has advised Lancashire-based Sustainable Energy First, backed by Beech Tree Private Equity, on acquiring the Inenco Group, an energy and utilities management company.

Sustainable Energy First and Lytham-based Inenco state that the newly combined business will continue to focus on its people and technology, creating a work environment that fosters high levels of engagement to ensure top-quality customer service with their aim being to make truly renewable energy more accessible to businesses of all sizes to help them achieve their Net Zero targets.

Sustainable Energy First is a certified B Corporation dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of its clients, which accounts for 3.5% of UK business power consumption.

Inenco has over 50 years of experience in energy management and sustainability. The company works with some of the largest organizations in the UK to reduce carbon emissions, optimize energy consumption, ensure compliance, implement effective energy procurement strategies, and control costs.

Sustainable Energy First and Beech Tree were advised by the North West Transaction Services team, which comprised Ed Brentnall, Ros Jones, Madeleine Andrews, and Declan Littler.
