Dains acquires Consilium Chartered Accountants
Dains Accountants, a national accountancy & advisory group, has acquired Consilium Chartered Accountants, an independent firm of accountants and business advisors supporting small and medium-sized businesses in Scotland and the UK.
The Dow Schofield Watts team in the Thames Valley advised Dains on the deal, with Steve Holmes providing financial due diligence and Carla Holmes supporting with tax due diligence.
The acquisition is the first made by Dains since securing private equity backing from IK Partners and significantly strengthening their client proposition in corporate tax, audit and corporate finance in the Scottish regions.
Peter Gould, M&A Director at Dains, said: “We are delighted to welcome Consilium to the Dains Group and would like to thank Steve, Marius and Carla of DSW Thames Valley for their professionalism and personable approach, which we value and see as an independent extension of our deal team”.
Steve Holmes, Partner at Dow Schofield Watts, added: “We were delighted to assist Dains Accountants with this important transaction which serves to strengthen its presence in Scotland. Congratulations to all involved and we wish you all every success in your future.”
