Mattioli Woods acquires Northern financial advisory business
Wealth management company Mattioli Woods, purchased and taken private earlier this year, has acquired Stockport-based financial advisory firm Cullen Wealth.
Mattioli Woods was acquired by Pollen Street Capital earlier this year in a deal that valued the formerly listed company at £430m. The acquisition of Cullen Wealth strengthens Mattioli Woods’ footprint in the North West.
Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance in London advised Cullen Wealth on the deal, led by Mark Watts, Dave Graham, and Phil Hodgson.
Co-founder of Dow Schofield Watts, Mark Watts, said, “It’s been a pleasure to work with Richard, his fellow shareholders and the team as they developed their strategy for the continued growth and success of Cullen Wealth.
The client-centric cultural fit with Mattioli was clear to us, and we look forward to seeing the combined business and all its stakeholders continue to thrive”.
Richard Cullen, founder of Cullen Wealth, added, “Joining forces with Mattioli Woods is a fantastic opportunity for our team.
“With our shared focus on client care and innovation, we are confident that this partnership will create exciting opportunities for growth and enhanced services for our clients”.
