Award-winning Alpine Fire acquires DAS Fire Ltd.
Alpine Fire, a fire suppression business that designs and manages active fire suppression systems for complex industries, has acquired Hampshire-based DAS Fire Ltd.
The acquisition follows a WestBridge-backed secondary buyout of Greater Manchester-based Alpine Fire, with the business recently being awarded Employer of the Year at the North West Business of the Year Awards.
DAS Fire is a leading provider of fire detection and suppression solutions for the data centre market in the UK and Ireland, established in 2013.
It offers full-service design, installation, maintenance, and support bespoke to the data centre market. The founders, Paul Darke and Stuart Parker will remain with the business alongside the entirety of their team.
Thomas Dutton, senior investment manager at WestBridge, said: “We have developed a great partnership with the team at Alpine since investment. The acquisition of DAS Fire supplements Alpine’s existing offering and opens up a new market sector. It goes without saying we are pleased and excited about bringing DAS into the Alpine Group, and we look forward to supporting Alpine as it pursues further strategic growth”.
In another collaborative endeavour, Dow Schofield Watts Corporate Finance and Transaction Services in the North West worked together to provide Alpine Fire with corporate finance advice and financial due diligence.
The DSW team was led by Gregg Pendlington, Ross Thomas, and Alex Odlin, with support from Catriona Lang and Rob Parker.
Further Advisers to Alpine Fire were Pinsent Mason (legal counsel), PMSI Strategy LLP (commercial due diligence) and BDO (tax due diligence).
Clearwater was the corporate finance adviser to DAS Fire, with Browne Jacobson providing legal counsel.
