United Living Acquires Jones Lighting

Dow Schofield Watts advised one of the UK’s leading power distribution and street lighting companies on its sale to United Living Group, backed by Apollo Global, for an undisclosed sum.

Based in the North West of England, Jones is a specialist Independent Connection Provider (ICP) providing DNO services and a full range of street lighting services, covering design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance, on behalf of UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Local Authorities (LAs).

United Living Group is a Warrington-based infrastructure, construction, and property services company backed by Apollo Global Management, the US-based listed asset management firm.

Gerard Lucas, Alex Odlin, and Jack Keoghan of Dow Schofield Watts’ corporate finance team advised the shareholders.

Wesley Jones of Jones Lighting said of working with the team, “DSW provided invaluable support and guidance throughout the sale process of Jones Lighting. Their team expertly navigated us through each stage, from initial offer to completion, ensuring we secured the best possible deal for us. We would never have been able to manage this complex process without their professional and reassuring presence. Their availability and expertise were truly impressive. We would like to thank Gerard, Alex and Jack for their support and professionalism throughout the process”.

Gerard Lucas added, “We are delighted to have supported the Jones shareholders on the sale of their business to United Living. The transaction will allow the business to continue its exciting growth trajectory as part of the United Living Group at an important time for the UK distribution network”.
